The mission of the First Year Seminar is to help students succeed at Nova Southeastern University by empowering them to take control of their education. This course encourages critical thinking and active learning both inside and outside the class by providing students with opportunities for engagement with NSU faculty, staff, and campus resources.
Welcome to NSU and your First Year Seminar! This course is required for all first-time-in-college students. Its purpose is to help prepare you for the rigors of college classes while introducing you to all the resources that NSU has to offer. Each course is designed as a small group seminar with ample opportunities for students to engage in critical thinking and active learning while connecting with peers, faculty, and NSU campus resources. I wish you each success here at NSU and beyond!
