Dear Scholarship Committee:
I am writing this letter to thank you for the Presidents Endowment/ Trustee Scholarship I was awarded. It was an honor to be chosen as a recipient of this prestigious award. Your support has kept me from worrying so much about the cost of tuition as an international student, and it has made it possible for my widowed mom to take out a lesser amount in private loans back home in the Bahamas for the next semester. I truly value my education here at Nova Southeastern University, and this scholarship had afforded me the opportunity to continue with my educational pursuits.
Throughout my youth, I have always looked forward to a career in the field of human resources, and I investigated many universities during my senior year in high school. I came to the conclusion that Nova Southeastern University had the quality education I was seeking. I have not been disappointed and plan to continue my graduate studies here at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. The faculty and staff have been very supportive during my tenure at NSU.
Moreover, through my activities within the Division of Student Affairs as a Presidential Knight, president of Nova International Student Association, and a recently elected vice president of legislative affairs of NSU Undergraduate Student Government Association. I have received diversification skills and talents socially. Combined with my academic achievements, I am now able to give back to the NSU community.
