You should thank the donor in your own voice using your own words. What you write should be straightforward, simple, and come from the heart. Here's a basic framework:
Opening paragraph:
Start by thanking the donor and mentioning the name of the scholarship you received. Let them know what it means to you to have been selected and how their support is helping make your education possible. To help keep your privacy safe, avoid mentioning specific details about where you live or have lived. Note: We don’t provide you with a specific donor name, because quite often scholarship funds have more than one contributor and more than one recipient.
