Kappa Delta Pi-International Honor Society Scholarships

Requirements: Must be a female, international student pursuing an education at NSU. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and be currently enrolled at NSU. Must demonstrate financial need in the letter of application. Applications are available in October. Students must be a member, in good standing, with Kappa Delta Pi. Must meet all University chapter requirements. Must participate in numerous chapter and community related events.

Requirements: This is offered through the Admissions Office to Professional and Liberal Studies students that have transferred from a community college. Students must present with their application proof of membership in the Phi Theta Kappa organization at previous community college. Renewable with a minimum 3.0 GPA and full time enrollment.

Graduate Assistant in Residential Life and Housing Scholarship

Award Amount: Up to $8000

Award Amount: Annual Package Valued at $10,000

Requirements: The scholarship is available for entering freshmen who will be beginning their first year of college in fall 2010. Students must have demonstrated leadership experience in their school or community to be eligible for consideration for the program. If selected, students will participate in an elite four-year leadership program and receive the scholarship each year as part of the program. All credit hours in the Leadership Certificate program must be earned at Nova Southeastern University, no credit by exam (TSD, Military, Dual Enrollment, CLEP, etc.) may be used. Participants must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA and earn a grade of "C" or better in each course used to satisfy the certificate. Participants cannot drop below full time academic status (minimum of 12 credit hours), must meet all co-curricular requirements and remain in good conduct standing with NSU at all times.

Residential Life Scholarship

Award Amount: Applications are available at end of January during information session.

Requirements: Scholarships given only to those hired as resident assistants. Must be a registered full-time student at Nova Southeastern University , meeting the minimum academic requirements of the academic department. Undergraduate students must have a minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA; for Graduate students, must have the minimum cumulative GPA required for that graduate program. Must have one semester live-in experience prior to application, not necessarily at NSU; OR significant leadership experience. Must be in good judicial standing with the University. Willingness to make a commitment through the academic year (i.e. August - May).

Student Affairs Graduate Assistantships

Award Amount: Range $8,000 + room/board/meal plan/stipend if GA lives on campus in university residence halls or $12,000 + meal plan/stipend if GA lives off campus.

Requirements: Must be accepted into a graduate program at NSU and work in Assistantship position in Student Activities & Leadership Development, Student Union, Campus Recreation, Career Services, Office of the Dean of Students and Office of Student Engagement. Preference is given for students accepted into the M.S. in College Student Affairs in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Additional Information: The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships through the use of internet-based quiz competitions. Students who answer the most number of questions in the shortest amount of time are declared winners.

NSU IQ Scholarship

Additional Information: The NSI IQ Scholarship is administered by the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation. Trustee Scholarship Fund for Students

Award Amount: $2500

Requirements: Awards are made to first year entering Graduate and first year entering Undergraduate full time students. Leadership ability, community/volunteer activities and academic excellence will be considered in the awarding process. Minimum GPA is 3.5. Scholarships are renewable with a GPA of 3.2, based on available funds. Please submit applications along with prior schools unofficial transcripts to the Office of Student Financial Services Scholarship Department. Due to the number of students applying, we will only notify the students selected.
