Nova Southeastern University Honor Award

Gareth Steele Disability Scholarship

Requirements: Applicant must have a disability; must be a Broward County resident which is a US citizen or legal resident, can be a recent high school graduate within the past year or be graduating high school within the next school year. Must be accepted at NSU. The student is to submit an essay of not more than 300 words on how their disability impacted them while in school, and how they would use the knowledge gained through education to improve the lives of others with disabilities. Center for Independent Living of Broward Inc. will make the final selection of the winner.

Howard Dunbar Scholarship

Requirements: Male students that demonstrate financial need. Students are randomly selected based on available funds, meeting the priority deadline, and with the highest GPA and financial need. Scholarship is renewable with 3.2 GPA depending on available funds.
All students that meet the requirements will be considered for this fund. Students are selected in July and will be notified.
NSU Athletic endowment Scholarship

Requirements: Recipients of this scholarship must be currently enrolled NSU student-athletes. This endowment is funded through contributions made to the Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament. Student-athletes receiving this award must meet all NCAA and Sunshine State Conference regulations to be eligible for this award. There will be additional factors considered in awarding these scholarships as follows: student leadership, athletic ability, participation in community/volunteer activities and academic progress toward a degree.

Requirements: This scholarship is provided to graduate students in financial need who enroll in programs that prepare them to work with individuals having physical and/or emotional problems. Requirements: Awards are made to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year continuing NSU Undergraduate students. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher.
