Facts of Family Violence:

• Every 12 seconds a woman in the US is beaten-300 per hr, 7,200 per day.
• 34%-60% American women will be abused in their lifetime.
• 46% of all women killed in the United States are murdered by their husbands, ex-husbands, or their boyfriends.
• Domestic Violence is the leading cause of injuries to women ages 15 to 44.
• In abusive homes with children, an estimated 87% of the children witness the abuse. 70% of men who batter women, also batter children.
