Recycling Glass & Plastic
What can I recycle?
Clear, brown, green, blue glass containers and #1 & #2 plastic containers.
How should I prepare the materials for pickup?
Rinse and empty containers. Place in a separate container. Call or e-mail a Work Order Request to make special arrangements for Physical Plant to pick up these recyclable materials from your area. Bottle caps, broken glass, and cigarette buts/spittoon cans go in the garbage. Physical Plant will then take to the Town of Davie's recycling site.
Where do I take it?
If you are a resident of a dorm, place the plastic and glass in the designated area of your dorm. If you are in an academic or administrative building, take the plastic and glass to the designated office areas that your department has assigned.
