Here's the original group of guys that colonized Epsilon Beta Chapter. |
All Champions need to stick together!! That's what Sammies at NSU do best |
After an All-Greek Cruise, the Brothers got together for a group picture to show how much fun it is to be a Sammy with Greeks at NSU! |
At Southern Conclave in Spring 1997, We got together to show our unity for the brothers. NSU hosted conclave that year and all the hard work paid off when it was all over. |
In addition to our academic excellence, here we wanted to prove our excellence on the field. We competed (and co-sponsored) The Fifth Annual 24 Hours of Softball to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Florida. Here is our celebration photo at around 4 AM after winning both of our games. |
At NSU's Annual Greek Fall Weekend, the brothers got together to celebrate at the Graffiti Party were there was dancing, chatting, and experiencing Greek Life at its best. |
At the 2nd Annual Nova Howl, SAM sponsored a haunted house aptly named "The Fright Deck!" The brothers and everyone had alotta fun scaring each other and getting into the Halloween spirit. |
Wouldn't everyone like to run into these guys as they're walking into our Student Union?!? But, on Halloween '98, these guys scared everyone half to death and everyone still had fun! |
Oops, how did a picture from our ritual get in here??? Just Kidding, these guys were the last stop in the Haunted House where we had grad students on the floor crying! Nova Howl '98 at NSU was a great success thanx to the efforts of the monsters of Sammy! |

Pledge Class 1997 at Initiation . . . The Proven! |
Big Brother & Little Brother at Initiation, December 4, 1997 |
What's Up!?? It's all the brothers takin' a pic after the ceremony. |
How about a little grub to celebrate after the initiation ceremony. The guys hopped in the cars and headed to a restaurant to talk about everything that happened during their pledge program. |
Every now and then, the brothers decided that we need to have a brotherhood event. Sooo, after scouring the cabinets of brothers' Ray and Rich apartment, the guys found a bag of cookies?!!! Someone ran to grab the bag, fell and another brother yelled "DOGPILE!" Everyone was okay but we never did find those cookies??!?! |
Wuzzup! The guys at the end of the night a pic would be cool to have to remember that night. Andy and Matt are asking you to "give it up for West Side!" Dustin in the middle knows a little sign language and Nelson knows what the coffee table is for. |
Have you ever gone down HIGHWAY 69?!?? These two brothers were on their way to the Southern Regional Conclave at Stephen F. Austin University in Texas. They drove over twenty hours to get there and on their way found this sign. Who could resist taking a picture. Now, they can always say they've gone down Highway 69!?! |
Since driving to Texas was a fun and interesting experience, these brothers wanted to take a picture with some of the other brothers from chapters across the South with Aaron Girson. Conclave was great for all the brothers and our colony was often the center of attention. |
Another year goes by and another set of victories for the Sammy softball team... |
Dude, that guy means business. Don't f*ck with a Sammy when he's trying to relax on the retreat. |
Shawn wakes up and he's ready to swing for the fences with that stick. |
Yeah, we're about to go f*ck somebody up and there's nothing you can do about it. |
Why are you getting us up this early for a picture?? I still have a headache. |
The delicacies of north Florida...Pig's feet??!!! |
On April 26, 1998, 21 young men from Nova Southeastern University became the Epsilon Beta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity. |
After the ceremony, everyone was celebrating and posing for pictures. |
Sigma Alpha Mu has already left its mark on NSU's campus. Now, as Epsilon Beta Chapter, these men are ready to leave its mark on the world. |
In appreciation of all his hard work, Mitch, the longest active member of our chapter, receives an award from his little brother Rich. |
Without the help of our faculty advisor, our chartering might never had taken place. We thank her for everything she has ever done for us. |
