University School alumnus Alex Weisman recently received a 2009 Jeff Award for his performance in TimeLine Theatre’s “The History Boys.”The Jeff Award, which Weisman received on Oct. 19, is the Chicago version of the Tony Award and recognizes outstanding achievement in professional productions of Chicago area theatres.

“This is a significant achievement for someone as young as Alex, who is in his senior year at Northwestern University and is managing to work professionally in the Chicago theatre circuit,” said Jenny Cook, Director of the Arts at University School.

Weisman, who attended University School from grades K-12, also recently visited the school’s new Epstein Center for the Arts to relive some old memories and preview the Upper School’s production of “One Third of a Nation.”

Congratulations to University School’s very talented alum.
