Fischler School Graduate Named Florida Education Association Teacher of Excellence

NSU Fischler School of Education and Human Services graduate and adjunct professor Joseph Underwood, Ed.D., was recently named the Florida Education Association Teacher of Excellence for 2010. Underwood is also a member of the National Teacher Hall of Fame.

Underwood teaches television production, moviemaking, and entertainment law in the ARTEC Academy at Miami High School in Miami, FL. He has been a member of the Miami High faculty since 1984. He is also an adjunct athletic administration professor at the Fischler School.
