“Sharkology 101” Brings Together Fischler School Staff

Earlier this month, the Fischler School of Education and Human Services’ Staff Engagement Team hosted Fischler School staff members from the Davie, Griffin, Kendall, Miramar, and North Miami Beach sites in a two day Staff Engagement Retreat.

Under the direction of Tara Saltzman, Ph.D., Tatjana Martinez, J.D., and Karen Bowser, Ed.D., the event, dubbed “Sharkology 101,” offered staff various instructional games and training activities designed to introduce and explain integral internal job functions at the Fischler School.

Following opening remarks from Education Provost and University Dean H. Wells Singleton, Ph.D., representative “experts” explained their roles at the Fischler School surrounded by an atmosphere of cooperation and competition. Prizes were also awarded to winning teams, and included: hats, shirts, pens, and many other NSU-themed items.
