Come See Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, Now thru Nov. 1 The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts is currently presenting, Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest. The production will run through Nov. 1. in the Black Box Theatre, Don Taft University Center. Performances are: Friday, Oct. 30, 7:30 p.m. Subtitled, “A Trivial Comedy for Serious People,” Earnest first debuted in 1895. It is referred to as a comedic masterpiece about cucumber sandwiches, mistaken identity, double lives, and love. Earnest is perhaps Wilde’s most famous play, and coincidentally, his last.
