Master of International Business Students Travel to Brazil

The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship’s 2009 annual International Field Seminar (IFS) was held in Brazil during the month of September. Eighteen master of international business administration students attended the educational trip, which was hosted by the University of Sao Paolo, in Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro.

As part of the trip itinerary, the students visited five companies including Embraer, Natura, Azul, Google, and Globo Television. In addition, they also attended various seminars held at the university. During the trip, students were immersed into the Brazilian culture by sampling native foods, attending soccer matches, and celebrating the announcement that Rio de Janeiro would host the 2016 Olympics.

The IFS program gives students enrolled in the master of international business administration program the option to travel to emerging markets. The program was initiated in 1998, and has provided students with an opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to real-world international business practices.
