Huizenga School Hosts Kickoff Reception and Welcome for Dean Fields

The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship recently hosted its annual Fall Kickoff Reception following its Board of Governors and Young Entrepreneurs Council meeting.

This year’s reception was special as it was the first time many board, council and guests had the opportunity to meet the new dean of the Huizenga School, Michael Fields, Ph.D.

The reception was held Sept. 17 in the Carl DeSantis building. NSU's cheerleaders welcomed guests with a performance in the Dr. William S. Spears Courtyard Atrium. Dean Fields discussed his vision and enthusiasm to develop the business school's educational programs, curriculum, and building a diverse faculty and student body. Dean Fields came to NSU from Central Michigan University, where he served as dean of the College of Business Administration since 2006.

Guests in attendance included Board of Governors and Young Entrepreneurs Council members, corporate partners, community leaders and special friends of the Huizenga School and NSU.
