Alvin Sherman Library Hosts Eighth Annual Faculty Reception & Lincoln Exhibit Opening

NSU faculty members recently attended the eighth Annual Faculty Reception and opening of the “Abraham Lincoln: A Man of His Time, A Man for All Times” exhibit at the Alvin Sherman Library.
The Oct. 1 reception was a welcoming event for new and returning faculty members. It included refreshments and door prizes, and provided a great opportunity for faculty from across NSU to meet and mingle with peers.
The program also included remarks by:
- NSU President Ray Ferrero, Jr.
- University Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Frank DePiano
- Vice President for Information Services and University Librarian Lydia Acosta
- Chair of the Faculty Advisory Committee Fran Tetunic
Door prizes were awarded to:
- Charles L. Zelden, who won 2 Domestic Airline Tickets
- Edye Groseclose, who won 2 Domestic Airline Tickets
- Jose V. Lopez, who won an HP Wireless Printer
- Michael W. Gaffley, who won an HP Wireless Printer
- Eduardo Armenteros, who won the book The Lincoln Anthology: Great Writers on His Life and Legacy from 1860 to Now
