Family Weekend Draws a Crowd
More than 60 students, parents and family members took part in Family Weekend on NSU's main campus Oct. 23-24. Coordinated by the Office of First Year and Transitional Programs, the weekend consisted of a Friday evening social, workshops for parents on Saturday morning, and concluded with an entertainment-filled barbeque put on by students. Family members were also invited to show their Shark pride at the women's and men's soccer games, as well as see the student production of The Importance of Being Earnest. NSU representatives in attendance were Brad Williams, Ed.D., dean of student affairs; Don Rosenblum, Ph.D., dean of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences; James Howell, M.D., professor of public health; and Razor, the NSU mascot.
