Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra Announces 10th Anniversary Season Schedule

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences continues its partnership with the Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra – celebrating its 10th anniversary season – further connecting campus and community creative resources. NSU's orchestra in residence consists of a variety of South Florida orchestral musicians, with professional, conservatory, and gifted secondary school students performing side by side.

The repertoire includes a wide assortment of engaging and challenging works, including world premieres of new music. All performances at NSU are preceded by a free Music for Munchkins mini-concert for children at 11:00 a.m. in the Miniaci Performing Arts Center. The November Ars Flores schedule includes:

  • Stars on Broadway
    Saturday, Nov. 14 | 7:30 p.m. | Miniaci Performing Arts Center.

    The concert highlights musical numbers from hit Broadway shows, such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, and My Fair Lady. The production will feature Bill Adams, D.M.A., assistant professor in the college’s Division of Performing and Visual Arts.

  • Star-Studded Young Artists Concerto Competition Finals
    Saturday, Nov. 21 | 4:00–8:00 p.m. | Performing and Visual Arts Wing | Room 309

Tickets to Stars on Broadway are available for purchase at $30, $20, $10 (seniors/students), and $7 (select seats). Tickets may be purchased through www.arsflores.com, or at the door on the day of the event. For more information, email info@arsflores.com, or call (954) 764-4455.
