Fifth Annual Golf Charity Tournament
NSU employees and celebrities participate in NSU’s 5th Annual Fore the Kids: Saving Lives Charity Golf Classic held at the Ft. Lauderdale Country Club.

With a long list of celebrity participants, NSU’s 5th Annual Fore the Kids: Saving Lives Charity Golf Classic held on May 8 at the Ft. Lauderdale Country Club proved once again to be a successful fundraiser to help save the lives of children. Money raised during this event will support lifesaver education, research and training.

Organized by NSU’s Institute for Child Health Policy, the charity golf tournament has previously attracted Olympic gold medalists, rock stars, PGA tour champions, Major League Baseball players, NFL players, Hollywood stars, as well as elected officials and health care professionals. And of course, people throughout Nova Southeastern University have participated in the event.

This year’s list of celebrity participants included sport stars such as Jeff Cross of the Miami Dolphins; John Congemi of the Toronto Argonauts; Ki Jana Carter of the Cincinnati Bengals; Joey Cornblit, a 23-time world jai alai champion; Eddie Hill of the Miami Dolphins; Kim Bokamper of the Miami Dolphins; Darrell Fullington of the Minnesota Vikings; OJ McDuffie of the Miami Dolphins; Dwight Stephenson of the Miami Dolphins; Benny Blades of the Detroit Lions; Dave Graf of the Cleveland Browns; Mark Duper of the Miami Dolphins; Terry Kirby of the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns; and Dennis Rasmussen of the New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals and Chicago Cubs. The rock star who attended the event was Nicko McBrain, a drummer for Iron Maiden.
