Law Center Holds Residential Institute
On Jan. 10, 2009, the Shepard Broad Law Center hosted the Online Graduate Programs' Residential Institute for the Master of Science in Education Law (MSEDL) Students enrolled in the Master of Science in Education Law program attend two mandatory on-campus institutes as part of their degree requirement. During the first institute, students become oriented with classmates, meet the faculty, tour NSU's law facilities, and undergo intensive computer training. Specific sessions include discussions on legal research methods and reasoning, education law, research training, WebCT and live classroom training. Students return to NSU to attend their last institute, which culminates with the presentation of their capstone research project to program faculty and other students. This is the first Master of Science in Education Law class to complete their studies at the Shepard Broad Law Center.
