Open Forums with Candidates for Director of the University Call Center
– Through May 16

The Office of Student Financial Services and Registration invites you to an Open Forum to meet the candidates for the director of the University Call Center. The following are the dates and locations of the Open Forums, and a brief summary of each candidate’s background.

Open Forums and Summary of Candidates:

Steve Mayfield - Tuesday, May 6, from 2:15 – 3:15 p.m. (Carl DeSantis Building, Knight Auditorium)
Mayfield holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in economics and business administration from the University of Massachusetts. He is currently employed at BankAtlantic as the vice president and manager of the Sales and Customer Service Center and has been in his position since July 2006. His responsibilities include managing a staff of 95 employees supporting a seven-day a week schedule and assisting in the design of call routing strategies to maximize service efficiencies and effectiveness between the Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando sites. He was also instrumental in designing and implementing a coaching program for all Orlando front-line leaders to improve coaching skills.

David MoffittTuesday, May 13, from 2:15 – 3:15 p.m. (Mailman Hollywood Building – Auditorium)
Moffitt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Chadwick University. He is currently the senior director of the Client Services-Call Center at France Telecom in Miami and has been in his position since January 2004. He is responsible for identifying strategic improvement areas within both inbound and outbound call centers for over 45 major broadcasters outsourced to France Telecom within the United States and India. He has implemented quality monitoring and revamped workforce management teams and was responsible for the development of a master operating plan and contingency plan within business units and sites.

Jannette BowieFriday, May 16, from 2:15 – 3:15 p.m. (Carl DeSantis Building, Room 5026)
Bowie holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. She is currently the senior manager of Call Center Operations at Boston Proper and has been in her position since March 2005. Her responsibilities include sales, service, and exception processing of phone/Web orders for a growing fashion catalog. She realigned call flow to support increased capacity without hiring additional agents, developed quality control programs, and implemented motivational programs.
