Prominent Psychologist Presents Workshop on Assessment of Children Jerome Sattler, Ph.D., ABPP, presented on “Recent Developments in the Assessment of Children” to an audience of over 100 professionals from the NSU community. Sattler is professor emeritus and an adjunct professor of psychology at San Diego State University. He is the recipient of numerous awards in the field of psychology, including the 1998 Senior Scientist Award from the Division of School Psychology of the American Psychological Association (APA), the 2005 Gold Medal Award for Life Achievement from the American Psychological Foundation, and the 2006 Distinguished Contribution to Psychology Award from the San Diego Psychological Association. Sattler is an author well known for being on the cutting edge of clinical assessment of children and families. His works are used in the clinical psychology, school psychology, special education, counseling, psychiatry, law, pediatric nursing, and family medicine fields. Sattler's textbooks on assessment are internationally recognized among psychology's most influential resources.
