NSU Law Students Visit U.S. Supreme Court

Law students in Tim O達rien痴 constitutional decision-making class at Nova Southeastern University痴 Shepard Broad Law Center visited the U.S. Supreme Court in March.

The eight students observed oral arguments in the case of Rothgery v. Gillsepie County, TX on March 17. The case asks the Court to decide at what stage of the criminal justice process does the right of indigent defendants to be entitled to court appointed lawyers at state expense begin to become effective.

The group also met William Suter, the Clerk of the U.S. Supreme Court.

O達rien is a distinguished visiting professor of law at the Shepard Broad Law Center and the former chief ABC News correspondent on the U.S. Supreme Court. Students on the trip were Jason Sherman, Meredith Berger, Susette Luis, Jennifer Smith, Josh Alper, Genny Castellanos, Michael Pascucci and Anthony Stella.
