During the 105th Annual Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA) Convention in February, NSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine student Mehul Shah was presented with a FOMA Student District Scholarship Award for possessing leadership skills, supporting FOMA student district society initiatives, and showcasing significant interest in the osteopathic profession and osteopathic manipulative medicine. In addition to receiving a commemorative plaque, Shah earned a $500 cash award.

During the convention, third-year student Mathew Levine received recognition from the Advocates of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (AFOMA), which presented him with a $250 AFOMA Believes in You Scholarship Award, which is partly based on a student’s interest in osteopathic medicine, activities in the profession, and future plans.
