Hillel to Hold Mitzvah Day – March 30

NSU’s Hillel chapter and the Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement will hold Mitzvah Day on Sunday, March 30, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on the Alvin Sherman Library Quad and Flight Deck patio.

A mitzvah is a “good deed” or “act of human kindness,” so the focus of Mitzvah Day is on community service. Various organizations from Fort Lauderdale will be in attendance. Food will be served and a DJ will be providing music.

Food, grocery gift cards, clothing, and toiletries will be collected to donate to local charities. Boxes will be placed in the Residence Halls and the Hillel office for donations to be dropped off. The Hillel office is located in the University Park Plaza near Pizza Loft.
