Boomers & Beyond: A Day for Health & Wellness – March 30

Nova Southeastern University celebrates South Florida’s diverse adult population with Boomers & Beyond: A Day for Health & Wellness on Sunday, March 30, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Health Professions Division. The event, designed to promote healthy living and well-being throughout adulthood, will showcase the wide variety of services and resources available to adults of all ages living in Broward County.

Boomers & Beyond: A Day for Health & Wellness, formerly the NSU Healthy Aging Expo, is devoted to providing area adults and older adults with the information and resources needed to live and age well. This event is the adult complement to NSU’s highly successful A Day for Children event held every September.

Planned activities include wellness-related lectures and health care screenings, health and aging information, healthy snacks, raffles, and much, much more. A wide representation of NSU schools, disciplines, and clinics will be on hand to showcase their expertise and commitment to the wellness of our community. Also, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida is the event’s major sponsor and WPBT Channel 2 is the media sponsor. Other sponsors include: Walgreens, Silhouette Optical, Essilor of America, Costco, Fuze, and Senior Bridge. We will have a variety of exhibitors from the community, including Hispanic Unity, Elderly & Veteran Services, Broward Partnership for the Homeless Initiative, the League for the Hard of Hearing, the Humane Society of America, and many, many more.
