Passport to Information Linked Users to a World of Databases at Alvin Sherman Library
Hundreds of patrons took advantage of Passport to Information Day on March 13 at the Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center, a joint-use facility with the Broward County Board of County Commissioners and Nova Southeastern University. The event, dedicated to educating the community on how to access hundreds of research databases for personal and professional use, featured one-on-one demonstrations from various database vendors, including HW Wilson, Greenwood Publishers, IGI Global, Proquest, World Book Encyclopedia, Wiley-Blackwell and more. Alvin Sherman librarians were on hand to assist patrons and students in obtaining research materials and access to the more than 250 databases available for free with their library card.
