Huizenga School Holds Farewell Reception for Board of Governors Member

The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship hosted an intimate farewell reception for Board of Governors member Gary M. Press on June 10 at the Carl DeSantis Building. Press is departing as publisher of the South Florida Business Journal to assume the role of publisher at NASCAR Scene and NASCAR Illustrated and will be relocating to Charlotte, N.C., with his family. The South Florida Business Journal and the NASCAR publications are part of American City Business Journals.

Press has been a Huizenga School Board of Governors member since May 2007. He is a founding member of the Huizenga School’s Young Entrepreneurs Council, where he served as chairman from 2002-2006. The South Florida Business Journal will remain as a corporate partner of the Huizenga School.

Huizenga School Dean Randy Pohlman, Ph.D., presented Press with gifts and thanked him for his support and friendship. Friends and guests who attended the reception included: Joel Altman and Beverly Raphael, Scott Brenner, Howard and Gwen Dvorkin, Joey Epstein and Kip Hunter-Epstein, Mark and Robin Levinson, Steve Nudelberg, Evan and Cheryl Rees, and Rex Kirby.
