SHSS Faculty Presents in Italy Sam Baroni, Ph.D., assistant professor of conflict resolution and international studies in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences’ Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution, presented last fall at the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) Standing Group on International Relations Conference in Turin, Italy. The SGIR is a broad-based network of scholarly activities relating to the study of international relations (IR) that brings together IR specialists from many sectors of activity - universities, independent research institutes, and public administration agencies - and from all over Europe. Baroni presented a paper on the Commodification of Islam along with several other panelists from Germany and London. She was also interviewed recently by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel on Benazir Bhutto assassination and its impact on the local South Florida Pakistanis.
