Farquhar College Students Awarded Prestigious Summer Internships

Two undergraduate psychology majors, Samantha Domingo and Bridget Haley, in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences have recently been awarded prestigious summer research internships. Domingo and Haley have demonstrated excellent academic performance and have been involved in research projects in the college’s Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Domingo, who has been working on research with Jaime Tartar, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences, has received a paid summer research internship at the University of Utah working in the laboratory of Ray Kesner, Ph.D. She will be involved in projects using behavioral paradigms to study the functions of different sub-regions of the hippocampus.

Haley, who has been working on research with Weylin Sternglanz, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences, has received a summer internship at Harvard University in the laboratory of Dan Wegner, Ph.D. She will be working on various projects involving studies in mind perception, morality, and empathy. 

Students may earn credit for internships that complement and enhance their academic programs, including internships in science, business, government, and the arts. Students interested in pursuing internships should contact their academic advisor or the Career Resource Center for more information.
