Israel60 All-Day Community Celebration – May 4

Israel60 All-Day Community Celebration

The Jewish Federation of Broward County will host Israel60, an all-day community celebration at the University Center on Sunday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free.

The festival will include:

  • Main stage entertainment throughout the day
  • Israeli singers
  • Israeli-style marketplace with over 100 vendors
  • Israeli art and artists
  • Israeli food booths (all Kosher)
  • Children’s pavilion including an archaeological dig, rides, petting zoo, and wonderful entertainment
  • Special senior programming
  • Business/Trade displays
  • Historical displays about Israel
  • Presentations by local agencies, synagogues and organizations
  • Presentations by elected officials and dignitaries

Highlights on the main stage include: family entertainment, cantorial choir, Israeli dancing with MaOr, the vocals of Ester Irene Brewda, the magic of Avi Frier, Israeli recording artists Habanot Nachama, the Jaime Bronsztein Orchestra performing Klezmer, and the Shalom Trio.

Also, through a live feed, the Broward community will be linked to Nesher, Israel, Broward’s partnership community, and will be treated to the vocals of the Youth Choir in Nesher who, along with the local cantorial, will be singing “Hatikvah.”
