- Head NSU men’s and women’s golf coach Kevin Marsh was named Sunshine State Conference Women’s Golf Coach of the Year.
- Sophomore women’s golfer Maria Garcia-Austt (So., Montevideo, Uruguay) was tabbed as a First-Team All-SSC selection.
- Women’s golfer Sandra Changkija (Fr., Orlando, Fla.) was named the SSC Freshman of the Year and Second-Team All-SSC.
- The NSU men’s golf team had three players named to the All-SSC First Team as Greg O'Mahony (Jr., Tequesta, Fla.), Constantin Schweirz (Jr., Tegernsee, Germany) and Byron White (So., Bradenton, Fla.) garnered three of the five slots on the First Team.
Upcoming NSU Athletics Calendar
Baseball
The NSU baseball team, ranked No. 7 in the South Region, will conclude its regular season with a three-game SSC series at home against Saint Leo University. NSU hosts the Lions at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 5, and in a doubleheader on Tuesday, May 6, at 1 p.m.
Women’s Tennis
The No. 13 nationally ranked Sharks tennis team will await the pairings for the 2008 NCAA South Regional Tennis Tournament, beginning on Thursday, May 1.
Softball
Ranked No. 7 in the South Region, the Sharks await an invitation to the NCAA South Regional Tournament, for the first time in school history. The tourney begins on May 5, at a site to be determined.
Women’s Golf
The No. 3 nationally ranked NSU women’s golf team looks to make their sixth consecutive NCAA South Regional Tournament appearance, which begins on Thursday, May 1.
Men’s Golf
The No. 5 nationally ranked NSU men's golf team will wait for a bid to the NCAA Super Regionals, which start on Sunday, May 4,
Outdoor Track
The Sharks will compete individually in the NCAA DII Regional Meet on Saturday, May 3, at Moorhouse College in Atlanta.
Women’s Rowing
The No. 4 nationally ranked Sharks will race in the Dad Vail Championships in Philadelphia, on May 9 as a prelude to their fifth straight NCAA Women’s Rowing Championship appearance.
