Business School Develops New Corporate Clusters The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship continues its long history of offering business degree programs at various corporate locations with the development of six new corporate clusters beginning in the Fall 2007 semester. Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, and Master of Science in Leadership programs will kick off in October at the following companies: Piper Aircraft Headquarters in Vero Beach (MBA), Baptist Health South Florida in Miami (MBA and MS in Leadership), Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute in Fort Pierce (MBA), Miami-Dade County governmental employees (MPA), and the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office (MPA). The concept of a “cluster” involves faculty members from the Huizenga School traveling to various corporate locations to teach classes on-site. The 18-month programs involve holding classes every other weekend. This offers employees from the same company the opportunity to earn a business degree together with the convenience of taking classes in the same location where they work without sacrificing the benefits of learning in a traditional classroom environment. “These clusters are an example of the success that comes from a partnership between two caliber organizations,” said Bill Spade, the Huizenga School’s senior manager of corporate relations. “Achieving unsurpassed customer service is possible through the development of relationships like the ones shared between the Huizenga School and companies like Piper Aircraft, Baptist Health, Lawnwood, and local government entities.”
