Fischler School of Education hosts First Doctoral Cohort from Colombia
The Fischler School of Education and Human Services (FSEHS) continues to expand in Latin America. This time, FSEHS is meeting the educational needs in Colombia with a new Doctoral Cohort from Universidad Nacional Abierta a Distancia (UNAD-National Open Distance University). The members of this doctoral cohort -- deans, professors and the rector of this university in Colombia -- attended doctoral studies orientation on Sept 7 and 8, and also participated in their first face-to-face sessions for their courses. These academic professionals are pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) with a concentration on instructional technology and distance education. This is a unique program that is taught in Spanish using the latest developments in distance education delivery that combines face-to-face and online methodologies. The group from Colombia was joined by the 4th Doctoral Cluster from Puerto Rico attending an orientation on the same weekend.
