Public Interest Law Society Raised Nearly $9,000 in its Benefit

Nearly $9,000 was raised at the 14th Annual Public Interest Law Charitable Auction, which was held on January 26. Guests enjoyed the silent auction that began at 5:00 p.m., followed by a live auction at 6:15 p.m. Family and friends had the opportunity to bid on unique items. Auctioned items included: Dine with a professor, front row parking spot at the law school, Shaquille O'Neil & Dwayne Wade autographed basketball, tickets to a Florida Panthers game, gift certificates to local restaurants and stores and Barnes and Nobles gift certificates.   After the auction at 9:00 p.m., everyone enjoyed an after party PILS Social at Gatsby’s. Monies raised will continue to fund fellowships for students who dedicate their time working as legal interns for public interest organizations.
