NSU Students Score Highest on Florida Board Optometry Exam HPD’s College of Optometry students posted the highest marks on the 2006 Florida Board of Optometry Exam, which is required for those wishing to practice optometry. State residents who attended optometry schools across the country took the test. The average pass rate for all test takers was 87.9 percent. Optometry students who didn’t attend Nova scored an average of 82.6 percent on their exams. But Nova students aced the exam by posting a whopping passing rate of 96.7 percent! For this year’s graduating optometry students, state board review courses will be offered on June 30 and July 1.
