Nova Southeastern University women's rower Cheyenne Poskey (Jr., San Diego, Calif.) earned First Team All-America honors from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association. Fellow teammates, Luciana Bedos (So., Cooper City, Fla.) and Miglena Dzhupanova (So., Sofia, Bulgaria) were also honored by the CRCA as both were named National Scholar-Athletes. As the coxswain in the Varsity 8+ boat, Poskey has helped lead the Sharks to two first place, one second place, one third place, and three fourth-place finishes this season. Joining her in the Varsity 8+ boat, Bedos and Dzhupanova have helped in the Sharks’ success this season, occupying the No. 3 and No. 6 seats, respectively. The CRCA All-America award is designed to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of female rowers and coxswains during the current season. Athletes are nominated by their coaches and selected by the respective CRCA Division II awards committees. NSU qualified for nationals for the third consecutive year and holds the distinction of being the only crew to qualify for the NCAA Rowing Championships in each of their first three seasons on the water.
