Fischler Faculty Member Recognized by American Speech Language and Hearing Association

Wren Newman, SLPD, a professor in the Fischler School of Education and Human Services, will be named a fellow to the American Speech Language and Hearing Association at the group’s annual meeting Nov. 17.

The ASHA Fellows recognizes professional or scientific achievement and is given to members who have made outstanding contributions to the professions. The award is one of the highest honors that ASHA can bestow and is retained for life.

The 2006 ASHA Convention, “Building Bridges through Communication,” will be held November 16-18 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
