Starting Right: Early Intervention Program for 2-Year-Olds
The Starting Right Program, offered through the Mailman Segal Institute for Early Childhood Studies, provides an opportunity for caregivers and toddlers to participate in an early intervention environment to increase communication, social, school readiness, and caregiver skills. Intervention support is provided by speech, occupational therapy and behavioral specialists. Located on the main campus of Nova Southeastern University, the Mailman Segal Institute achieves its mission through direct services to families and children, development and implementation of early childhood education and training programs, community outreach, and advocacy. Its home in the Jim & Jan Moran Family Center Village is a state of the art demonstration and training facility which enables the institute to showcase best practices in the fields of early childhood education, special education, family support, and parenting education. Starting Right groups will meet several mornings per week from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information, contact Dr. Sandra Savinelli at (954) 262-7117.
