100% of NSU Nursing Students Passed Exam on 1st Attempt

The Nova Southeastern University nursing department graduated its first entry level class in August 2006. These students have recently taken the NCLEX-RN, national licensure exam.  ALL of NSU’s students passed the exam on the first attempt. The national average for first time attempts is 85%; the state average is 87%.  There are currently more than 150 nursing programs in Florida and no other nursing program in the state currently has a passing rate of 100%.

“This wonderful accomplishment is due to the hard work, commitment, caring and dedication of our nursing students, faculty and program directors, as well as the support of the university’s administration, including President Ray Ferrero, Jr., Dr. Fred Lippman, chancellor of the Health Professions Division and Dr. Richard Davis, dean of the College of Allied Health and Nursing,” said Dr. Diane Whitehead, Associate Dean/Chair Nursing.
