Institute for Child Health Policy at NSU Recognized for Excellence

The Institute for Child Health Policy is proud to inform the NSU community that the Raising Healthy Children Summit and Inaugural Fore the Kids: Saving Lives Charity Golf Classic has been named a finalist in the South Florida Business Journal 2006 Excellence in Healthcare Award for the May 2006 Second Annual Charity GolfClassic and Fountain of Youth Interdisciplinary Summit on Nutrition and Fitness.

The Broward County draft 5-Year Strategic Plan on Nutrition and Fitness was unveiled at the May 2006 summit where participants actively took part in further development of the evolving plan. (For more information, visit www.browardchd.org/Services/Nutrition/Nutrition.htm)

Many of the strategic plan goals and objectives have been realized through the collaborative effort of partnerships. We appreciate the dedication of the NSU and CCB Quality of Life Council community partners for recognizing the importance of community backing in identifying and evaluating the effectiveness of successful programs designed to improve the health and well-being of four generations.
