NSU Students to Compete in NSU Idol and Hollywood Squares
FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – Students at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will come together next week to compete against each other at two popular campus events – NSU Idol on Nov. 29 and Hollywood Squares on Nov. 30.
NSU Idol – the university’s version of the hit television show American Idol – features students putting their singing talents on display for three judges. The students can perform as individuals or as group acts to compete for a $1,000 prize for their affiliated student organization. The contest begins at 7 p.m. on the patio of the Athletics and Student Affairs (ASA) building on NSU’s main campus (3301 College Ave.).
Hollywood Squares is one of the university’s longest running traditions, celebrating its 17th year as an NSU event. Based on the television game show of the same name, Hollywood Squares features NSU faculty and staff members as the “stars” in the nine squares of the giant tic-tac-toe board. Student contestants will answer trivia questions as they compete for prizes. The game begins at 6 p.m. on the patio of the ASA building.
The top three finishers in NSU Idol will perform in between games of Hollywood Squares as part of the evening’s entertainment.
