Nova Southeastern University Food Court Receives New Name
Ft. Lauderdale (Davie), Florida - In the last several decades, Nova Southeastern
University (NSU) has grown in major proportions thanks in part to the generosity
of several major donors.
Community activist Arlene Pecora’s generosity has led to the food court
and dining area in NSU’s new University Center to be named
The Michael and Arlene Pecora Hospitality Pavilion.
Pecora is the co-owner of the Signature Grand in Davie and Signature Gardens
in Miami.
Her involvement with NSU has been at many different levels. Receiving both
her B.S. and Master of Business Administration degrees from NSU, Pecora also
serves on the Board of Directors for the Alvin Sherman Library, Research and
Information Center’s Circle of Friends. She also sits on the Board of
Directors of the Community Foundation of Broward and the Boys and Girls Clubs
of Davie.
In addition to her contributions benefiting NSU, Pecora is very involved in
sponsoring many fundraising events in Broward County, including those involving
the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County; Community Foundation of Broward
and Leadership Broward Foundation.
