NSU to Celebrate ”A "Knight Under the Stars" Homecoming 2004
Homecoming Weekend Scheduled for November 12-13

FORT LAUDERDALE — It’s that time of year again as Nova Southeastern University students and alumni gear up for Homecoming 2004 - “A ‘Knight’ Under the Stars.”

Among the many activities planned for the weekend is the NSU women’s volleyball game against Barry University on Friday, November 12, 7:00 p.m. in the George Meyer gym on BCC’s campus, and the Homecoming Dinner/Dance at the Bonaventure Hotel in Weston on Saturday, November 13.

However, the two fun events that separate the children from the adults during Homecoming weekend are the “Pedal to the Metal” Tricycle Race, and the 14th Annual “Anything Floats” Raft Race.

Friday, November 12

  • 3:30 p.m. “Pedal to the Metal” Tricycle Race - The third annual tricycle race on NSU’s campus will take place in the roundabout in front of the Horvitz Administration Building on NSU’s main campus. Each team will consist of four members, two women and two men. The first place winner will receive four Homecoming tickets, and a free Limousine ride to and from the Homecoming Dance. Second place will also win four Homecoming tickets and a $200 shopping spree, while the third place winners will receive four Homecoming tickets.
  • 5:00 p.m. “Anything that Floats” Raft Race - This 14th annual raft race will take place at NSU’s Gold Circle Lake. Student Activities will sponsor each team of six, (three men, and three women), up to $50. All rafts are constructed by students from materials that are in the original form; that is, materials that were not meant to be a flotation device. The first-place prize winners will receive six Homecoming tickets, and an Excursion Limousine to and from the Homecoming Dance. Second place winners will receive six Homecoming tickets, and a $600 shopping spree, and third place will receive six Homecoming tickets.
