Partners In Education (PIE), Broward’s premier school-business partnership program dedicated to student achievement, assists businesses, government and civic organizations in volunteering time and resources in Broward County Public Schools. These business and community partners provide a variety of services to schools, including mentoring or tutoring students, working with teachers to enrich curriculum, and motivating students to achieve.

During the first Board of Directors meeting, three broad goals were set to improve the program during the next school year: 1) Analyze research conducted during the summer to find areas for improving the communication process between the program and schools and between school administrators and teachers. 2) Identify the elements of program value to schools and insure that recruitment and training efforts are directed toward needs. 3) Develop a web site apart from browardschools.com for easier access by the community, and offer online training to school and business PIE Liaisons.
