Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) will welcome 232 students into its medical program during the 11th  annual White Coat Ceremony at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, August 5 on campus at the University Center.

Students will be ceremonially cloaked with their white coat by leaders of the osteopathic profession.  A celebration follows at the arena.

“The White Coat ceremony marks the special day these students recite the Oath of Commitment to the Osteopathic profession and to the communities in which they will serve,” said Anthony J. Silvagni, dean of Nova’s osteopathic college.  “This special day conveys to the students the importance of caring as well as curing.”
