Three Programs at Nova Southeastern University’s Law Center Earn SREB Certification

FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. ---- Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center has announced certification from the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) program for three of its programs: Master of Science in Employment Law, Master of Science in Education Law, and Certificate in Education Law.

NSU’s law school began the Employment Law and Education Law programs in 2007 and they are the only ones of their kind, educating non-lawyers on legal issues they encounter in the field. The M.S. in Employment Law program is designed for human resource and business professionals to provide them with knowledge of laws regulating the workplace. The M.S. in Education Law and Certificate in Education Law programs are designed to teach non-lawyer educators and administrators to better identify, understand and respond to complex legal issues facing today’s educators.

The SREB’s Electronic Campus program certifies that the online programs and courses it approves are in full compliance with its comprehensive set of Principles of Good Practice. With the recent certification of the three programs in Shepard Broad Law Center, there are now 57 NSU programs, including undergraduate, master's, doctoral, and graduate certificate programs, that have been certified by the SREB. The Shepard Broad Law Center’s M.S. in Health Law program previously earned SREB certification.

Integrating a solid foundation in traditional legal subjects and a pioneering clinical program that sets it apart from other law schools, the Shepard Broad Law Center offers an innovative curriculum for today’s student. The school offers full-time day and part-time evening programs, as well as the online Master of Science degrees in Health Law, Education Law, and Employment Law. Additionally, the Shepard Broad Law Center offers a wide variety of international and comparative learning opportunities including courses, clinical opportunities, and law programs abroad. International programs and courses at the NSU Shepard Broad Law Center are ABA-approved.
