Nova Southeastern University Selects RCM Solutions from Navicure
Academic institution aims to reduce A/R days, improve collections and better manage claims denials through use of Web-based solutions

ATLANTA — Navicure, a leading provider of automated, Web-based revenue cycle management (RCM) solutions for physician practices, today announced its new contract with Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Nova Southeastern University, the seventh largest independent, not-for-profit university in the United States — educating more than 27,000 students and residents annually. The institution will use Navicure solutions to enhance the overall revenue cycle management process, specifically in the areas of denials management and collections, for its 150-provider network of specialty practices, consisting of 11 different clinical operations.

“We believe Navicure’s holistic approach to revenue cycle management will help us improve the overall financial performance of our practices,” said Henry Del Riego, chief financial officer for Nova Southeastern University. “We were especially impressed with the company’s online collection solution – a capability not offered in our previous system – seamless integration with our new practice management system and proven track record for customer service.”

Navicure’s automated, Web-based RCM solutions, which include claims management, electronic remittance posting and secondary claims processing, help physician practices quickly eliminate billing errors, identify payment trends and improve operational efficiency. All electronic transactions are processed in accordance with HIPAA’s privacy and security requirements, and hundreds of EDI formats are supported—resulting in the ability to process a greater number of electronic transactions by reaching all payers who offer electronic capabilities.

Academic institutions and their practices face many business challenges, including decreasing reimbursement and funding,” said James M. Denny, Jr., president and chief executive officer for Navicure. “We look forward to helping Nova Southeastern University address these challenges by ensuring faster reimbursement and increasing profitability.”
