Nova Southeastern University Students Move Into Dorms

Open Saturday Morning to more than 500 Students
FORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE—Moving has never been so much fun. On Saturday,
August 13, more than 500 new and returning Nova Southeastern University
students –with the help of families and friends - will move into
Leo Goodwin, Founders, Farquhar, and Vettel Residence Halls on the main
campus of NSU. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with local community vendors
and student organizations providing refreshments.
In an effort to help the students acclimate to university life, the
Office of Student Affairs has planned numerous activities during “Welcome
Week,” August 15-19. Planned activities include airboat rides,
a trip to local malls, movie socials, and hypnotist party in the Student
Union, and “Into the Streets,” Volunteer Day. The week will
culminate with the 8 th Annual "Got Wood" giant bonfire and
kickoff party on Friday, August 19 at 7:00 p.m. Sponsored by the NSU
student government association, the party is expected to draw more than
800 students and faculty onto the Leo Goodwin Residence Hall lawn.
Nova Southeastern University, with its main campus in Fort Lauderdale,
