NSU Welcomes Students Back to Campus
Broward County’s Only Intercollegiate Residence Halls Open Doors Sunday to More than 500 Students

Students moving inFORT LAUDERDALE--Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is gearing up to welcome more than 500 new and returning students of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences as they begin moving into Leo Goodwin, Founders, Farquhar, and Vettel Residence Halls - the only intercollegiate residence halls in Broward County – on Sunday, August 15. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with local community vendors providing refreshments.

“Welcome Week” continues on Monday night with a Welcome Week Dance in the Flight Deck, and on Tuesday, August 17, the 7 th Annual "Got Wood" giant bonfire and kickoff party begins at 7:00 p.m. Sponsored by the NSU student government association, the party is expected to draw more than 800 students and faculty onto the Leo Goodwin Residence Hall lawn.

"We are very excited about this year's incoming class. We met many of them during Orientation, and they were great leaders on their high school campus, excellent servants to their local communities, and ready to begin their college career, said Lua Hancock, NSU's Director of Residential Life and Housing.

Nova Southeastern University, with its main campus in Fort Lauderdale, is the largest independent institution of higher education in the southeast United States, and the 10 th largest nationally. It awards associates, bachelor's, master's, educational specialist, doctoral, and first-professional degrees in a wide range of fields, including business, counseling, computer and information sciences, education, medicine, dentistry, various health professions, law, marine sciences, psychology, and other social sciences. The university also offers 16 undergraduate majors through the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences.
