Caribbean Law Program of NSU Law Center hosts the Honorable Bruce Golding, M.P
FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. ---- The Honorable Bruce Golding, M.P., the prime minister of Jamaica, will hold a town hall meeting at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) on March 28. The Caribbean Law Programs of NSU’s Shepard Broad Law Center is hosting the visit to allow the prime minister to interact with the broader Jamaican community.
Golding, the leader of the Jamaica Labour Party, was sworn in as Jamaica’s eighth prime minister on September 11, 2007. He began his career in politics in 1972 at the age of 24 when he became the youngest person ever elected to Jamaica’s Parliament, a record that still stands.
Golding is the son of Tacius Golding, who served Speaker of the House of Representatives in Jamaica in the 1960s.
The free public meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and be held on NSU’s main campus in the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center (3100 Ray Ferrero Jr. Blvd.).
More information on Golding’s visit is available by calling the Consulate General of Jamaica at (305) 374-8384, ext. 223 or 232.
