NSU Presents Brazilian Martial Arts and Dance
FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. -- Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is
presenting Brazilian martial arts, fighting and dance on Thursday as
part of its celebration of Black History Month.
The event, Body and Movement by the Corpo e Movimento Capoeira Academy, will take place at NSU’s University Center Flight Deck between noon and 12:30 p.m. Mestre Pele, a native of Brazil and director of the Capoiera Academy in Wilton Manors, will demonstrate Capoiera, which encompasses Brazilian martial arts, fighting and dance.
The event is sponsored by NSU’s College of Allied Health and Nursing.
